Cookies on this site
This site is static and has no accounts. It carries no advertising and no third-party tracking. Two kinds of storage exist:
- Strictly necessary.
Your choice from the banner, held in this browser under
crossdeck.consent.v1andcc.analytics.choice, so you are not asked again on every page. A preference and a timestamp. Nothing else. - Analytics. On unless you turn them off. They tell us which pages people actually read, in aggregate — no profiles, no advertising, no cross-site tracking. Decline and Google Analytics is set to denied storage: the cookies are dropped and the choice is re-applied on every page you visit afterwards.
You can change your mind at any time through cookie preferences, linked in the footer of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off and you are not asked at all.
The banner itself is Crossdeck Consent, one of our own products. We run it here for the same reason we run everything else we make.
Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the request as a normal web request from your browser.
The live constellation
The field on the homepage shows activity in our own products. It is published under the following method, and no point on it is capable of identifying a person:
- No IP address, user identifier, account identifier or exact coordinate is ever published.
- Events are mapped to an approved coarse region or city-level approximation. Nothing finer is plotted.
- A minimum-count threshold is applied. Where a single event could identify a person, it is withheld or merged.
- Events are delayed and rounded before publication, so the field is not a real-time trace.
- Sensitive product routes and administrative activity are suppressed entirely.
- The published stream carries no key that would let a visitor reconstruct one person's journey across products.
- If the feed is unavailable, the field renders its quiet state and says so. It is never filled with invented activity.
- Sample data, used only for design review, is labelled synthetic on screen and in the page's own markup.
What is never published
- Customer identities, private operational events and confidential revenue.
- Security-control detail that would increase attack risk.
- Credentials, system identifiers and unreleased products.
- Any relationship not approved for publication.
