How we build.

The portfolio is not unified by a market or a technology stack. It is unified by a repeated operating pattern, applied to different problems.

The pattern

  1. Encounter a real problem.
  2. Solve it for ourselves.
  3. Use the solution in production.
  4. Improve it from real evidence.
  5. Offer the resulting product to others.

This is the connective tissue. It is not a claim that the applications form one software suite. They do not.

Problems we hit ourselves

Nothing here began as a market opportunity. Each product started because something in our own work was broken, slow or missing, and the tools available did not fix it.

Dogfooded across the portfolio

A product is not finished when it ships. It is finished when we depend on it. Crossdeck runs against our own applications; Biotree carries our own public links.

Evidence before assumption

We change products from what the data and the failures actually show, not from what we would prefer to be true. If we cannot show evidence for a claim, we do not publish the claim.

Source-of-truth thinking

Every fact should have one canonical home. That principle produced Crossdeck, it shapes how these products store identity, and it is why this site exists at all.

Independent product brands

Each product keeps its own name, identity, domain and audience. We do not rename them into a family, and we do not present one as a feature of another.

Small-team execution

A small team can only build what it genuinely understands. That constraint is why the portfolio is a set of specific products rather than a platform.

Public learning

What operating these products teaches us is published as stories with the evidence attached, on this site and on the product blogs where the detail belongs.

What the method produces

The relationships are the evidence.

The Cross Constellation relationship constellation Crossdeck is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. Biotree is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. Digital Hank is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. PricePage is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. Grid is an independent iOS product created and operated by Cross Constellation. ClaudeArchitect is an independent directory and knowledge product created and operated by Cross Constellation. PageSwipe is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. RunFast is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. livedot is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. Windline is an independent product created and operated by Cross Constellation. RunFast and Windline run one forecast engine, tuned for running pace and for riding pace respectively, and share a Strava connection and live-tracking server. Neither product is built on top of the other. Windline sends live rider positions and its wind forecast to livedot, where anyone can follow a rider through an event. RunFast sends live runner positions and its heat forecast to livedot, where anyone can follow a runner through a race. Windline uses the Crossdeck Web SDK for product analytics, error reporting and acquisition sources across every Windline surface. Crossdeck uses a Biotree page as its public social and resource hub at crossdeck.biotree.bio. Biotree uses Crossdeck for product analytics, identity, errors, Trust and applicable entitlement visibility. Grid uses Crossdeck as a real iOS production application for identity, analytics, errors and applicable revenue or entitlement verification. Digital Hank uses Crossdeck for analytics and entitlement gating, on iOS and on the web. PricePage uses Crossdeck for analytics, errors and revenue tracking. ClaudeArchitect uses Crossdeck for analytics, errors and revenue tracking. PageSwipe uses the Crossdeck iOS SDK and Web SDK for analytics and errors.
